First, due to royalty costs, I can only provide full tracks, and videos, of traditional and original music

I'm providing full tracks from two older CDs that are out of print, though they are still available through digital distribution services, but the truth is that at this point, they can probably be found for free scattered around the web.
I also provide tracks that I produce in my own studio, like rough mixes of work in progress, soundtracks live performance, or music I can't afford to produce on CDs or digitally distribute, but can just record and release here, responding to people's requests.

I sell new recordings to pay for recording and production costs, but I do provide short sample clips from the CDs still in production.

Finally, this page has been update HTML 5, using multiple formats, Ogg Vorbis, .ogg, and Mpeg, .mp3 files, and using several methods, including a direct link if the HTML 5 doesn't work. HTML 5 is still not settled into some standardized form across all browsers, so this may or may not work, and may not be supported by all older browsers. So it goes. The old page wasn't working for a lot of new browsers, but was written in the days before streaming and intergrated players, to provide downloadable files that could be played, after downloading, by your music player. If the link doesn't automatically pop up your music player and allow you to play the track, it will possibly only work if you right-click the file and choose to save the file from the menu window, then select and play the saved copy after downloading it.

Enjoy!

These selected full length tracks are from the

Folksinger

and

Gypsy Road

CDs, recorded in a commercial studio over a few hours in 1995-1996, and are now out of print. They were recorded with my last acoustic dulcimer, rather then the electric I had already begun playing. But the electric and acoustic are laid out very different, and so I chose to record these CDs with the last acoustic, leave a record of it, and the versions I had developed on it, before I made the shift to the electric, and the new style and versions I was developing on it. The tracks where I play guitar are possibly better than the dulcimer tracks, simply because the studio had never recorded a hammered dulcimer before, and didn't know how it was supposed to sound. This is one of the reasons I decided to get my own studio gear rather then use commercial studios. I still decided to make a snapshot recording of the music, to have something to offer people while I saved up for my own studio, and record the last acoustic and some of the songs and style I had developed over the past 15 years on it. It would take a few years to get my own studio gear, and I realized that by the time I did get my own studio together, the acoustic would be behind me, part of my history, as I recognized that the electric was my future.
